The basic bar stool is in the eye of the consumer or user. What that means is that because everyone sees things differently there is no one basic stool. But like everything else one single rule applies - Simple Is Better. When it comes to bar stools there are simple versions of every style and type.
One of the most common stools is one with a round flat seat that has 4 straight legs that run down to the floor. These legs are attached together with four spindle footrests. The thing about this style of stool is that it's made out of every type of material you could think of such as metal, plastic, iron, and wood. It's about as basic as you can get.
The nice thing about these stools is how well they blend into any décor. Since they aren't designed to stand out and make a statement they serve their purpose well. They are usually very easy to tuck away under a counter or an overhang until they're needed again. They're very subtle but are required to finish off any room that requires this type of seating.
One of the other nice things about choosing basic bar stools
is the price. They usually are a lot less expensive then the intricate bar stools
that have all the bells and whistles on them. Detailed carvings or designs,
swivel mechanisms, arms or padded seatback can all add up on the price of stool.
If you're trying to work within a tighter budget these types of stools will
always be your best bet.
