Do you need replacement bar stool seats on your old stools? Liven up you room with a hot new look.

How do you know when you need replacement bar stool seats? Is it when the fabric wears though or when the foam cushioning breaks down, or maybe you’re just tired of the current look you have with your seats. What ever the reason is there’s a very simple fix for each one of these issues. Let’s take a look at those now.

Most of us want to update or change our kitchen in one way or another. One of the easiest ways to add a little something to our kitchens or eating areas is to change the seats on our chairs or stools. We have all seen those home makeover shows where they change the seat covers and add new foam to give the chairs and barstools a whole new look.

If your stools are starting to wear thin on the seat cushions then you’re probably in dire need of a mini makeover. You can change the fabric and cushions in the seats all in one simple change. All you have to do is pick a new fabric that you like and goes with the other décor in the eating area. You can then get some new foam from any fabric or upholstery store to replace the old broken down seats and give them some more much needed comfort.

It really doesn’t have to be that hard to do. Start by removing the screws that hold the seats on the stools or chairs. (Flip over the stools and unscrew them) You can then cut off the old fabric and foam from the seat. Put the new foam on the seat and trim to fit. You can use glue to help you attach it to the wooden seat. Next put the fabric over the foam and entire seat making sure there is enough to wrap underneath the seat. Pull the fabric until it’s tight with no loose wrinkles and attach it to the underside of the seat with a staple gun. Use as many staples as needed to attach the fabric firmly. You can then screw it back on to the stool or chair and you’re done.

The reason we suggest you fix your own stool or chair seats is because it can be hard to find the right replacement bar stool seats, especially if you stools are older. Doing it yourself is like giving new life to an old piece of furniture. It also gives you a little sense of pride and gives you bragging rights to tell all your friends what you’ve done.
